Spreading the Light is a major activity in which you will help Hallowfall Arathi to reclaim some of their land from the darkness and relight the keyflames. IN this Comprehensive Guide you will know everything about what this activity has to offer you.

Spreading the light activity is located on the north eastern part of Hallowfall, at Light´s Blooming. This activity is for level 80 characters. This is a little darker area in which there are big torches called Keyflames and small torches called Lesser Keyflames. You will also find rares tied to this activity and manu items that you unlock and buy in order to fight enemies easier and also find cool things. This guide will go through all of these things you can do here.

Overview

There are 8 Keyflames and 8 Lesser Keyflames in the entire area. You are the one that will light these keyflames up. The big ones can be done as a community and the small ones are personal. To light up a big one to full, it requires 20 Radiant Remnants. To light up a small one to full, it requires 3 Radiant Remnants.

How to get Radiant Remnants

You get Radiant remnants by

looting mobs that you have killed.
Elites give 2-4 and non-elites give 1 Radiant Remnants. However, the non-elites don´t have a 100% loot chance.
looting treasures , herbs and mining nodes scattered around the entire Hallowfall rewards 1-2 Radiant Remnants
Elite Rares
Elite rares in this area drops around 39 Radiant Remnants.

Keyflames

Filling up a big Keyflame with 20 Radiant Crystals activates a quest objective. This quest objective is tied to a small area around the keyflame.

Here are the names and locations of all the Keyflames

You don't have to participate to add Radiant Remnants to these Keyflames, you will still get access to the objective by being close to it. The objective will be active for 20 minutes until it starts over again with adding Radiant Remnants again to activate it.

Lamplighter´s Supply Satchel

This satchel is Warbound, meaning that you can send it to other characters in your account. Once you open it, it will reward 2-5 Valorstones and 10-20 Resonance Crystals. So basically, this will be a way to send Valorstones to your alts.

Lesser Keyflames

Filling up a lesser Keyflame with 3 Radiant Crystals unlocks a NPC with a weekly quest for you. It will also unlock access to a vendor from that NPC. Each lesse keyflame will have it´s own NPC with its own weekly quest and its own items that it sells. One of them doesn't have a NPC, it's just a box that gives you a quest. When completing some of these weekly quests you will activate a lamplighter to assist you when you are there.

Each lesser Keyflame except number 8 will have a vendor tied to it and will sell items that will unlock more content or help you fight in the Light´s Blooming area.

You throw it to do damage on a selected Area.

Sugar Shrooms
When used, it increases your haste by 25% for 30 sec.

Wear special gloves for 8 whours and let you drag up root from the ground in Light´s Blooming. You can find radiant remnants, but also find quest items that rewards 75 reputation with Hallofall Arathi.

Twilight-Spiced Grouper
Food buff that gives 15% speed and waterwalking for 60 min.

Sweet Eclipse
Food buff that gives 3% increased crit-chance for each enemy killed. Stacks up to 10 times for 30 sec. The buff lasts for 1 hour.

Valeir Steelshot

You can select her to help you fighting.

Auebry Irongear

Auebry´s Farshooter
When you use it it shoots and does physical dmg and a short stun.

Ezgi´s Gizmo
Sends an emergency signal that activates available harvestbots to help clear the Stillstone pond and Torchlight Mine of threats.

Erol Ellimore

Erol Ellimoore vendor NPC in Spreading the Light.

Lynx Leash
Leash up a nearby Lynx allowing it to help you fight.

Spare Harvest Torch
Place the torch in the ground to provide light for 5 min. Standing close to it increases versatility by 10%.

Big Cat Whistle
Summons a large Battle Lynx that helps you fight for 5 min.

Tarry Bilgestone

Stillstone Frog Trap
Throw a trap on the ground that does dmg to enemies.

Sparkbug Jar
Lights up when used and you can use it near the bushes near the water to spawn a Curious Sparkbug.. This will become a pet (Hallowfall Glowfly) for you to collect.

Attica Whiskervale

Dauntless Strike Flare
Signal Capitain Lancekat to airship attack the shore where there are many elites (between keyflame 6 and 7).

Dauntless Draught
Food buff that gives crit strike increased by 10% for 30 min.

Sentry Flare Launcher
Use to fire an area to reveal hidden items or do dmg. Also the standing in the light gives 10% versatility.
If you enter the cave at , and then go to the north east part of the cave /way66.56,15.15 and use the flare there, you will find a chest called Captain Lancekat´s Discretionary Funds. This contains some profession materials , gold , valrostones, resonance crystal and a tabard (Darkened Tabard of the Arathi).

World Quest

There is a weekly quest tied to this activity called “Spreading the Light”. You complete this quest by activating 4 Lesser Keyflames.
Once completed, you will be reward with a Radiant Cache that contains:

5 Carved Harbinger Crest
48-54 Valorstones
200 Resonance Crystal
Chance on Veteran Gear (Adventurer gear pre-season)

Extra Weekly Quest

You will find an NPC that you don´t have to spawn, she will be there to give you a weekly quest called “Defender of the Flame”. This NPC is called Keyrra Flamestonge located in the Spreading the Light area /way 65.46,32.28

To complete this quest you must kill two rares in the Spreading the Light area. There is no reward at all on beta so we will see what the rewards will be.

The Rares

There are many rares in this area and each keyflame will have a rare tied to it. Killing a looting a rare gives

Renown

Reaching different Renowns with Hallofall Arathi will unlock some of these things.

Renown 3 - You unlock Spreading the Light Activity.
Renown 9 - You can loot Flickering Torches from mobs there. This torch lights up a small area around you for 10 min so that you can find certain objects, such as herbs and mining nodes and also the chest in the cave for the tabar (see above).
Renown 12 - You unlock more things to buy from the vendors and you can find Hillhelm transmog items from mobs there.
