Blackrock Depths 11.0.5 Timewalking Raid Guide and Boss Tactics

Overview

  • Event Duration: October 22, 2024 - January 7, 2025

  • Player Level Requirements:

    • LFR: Level 30

    • Normal/Heroic: Level 70

  • Instance Size: 10-15 players

  • Bosses: 8 main bosses and optional mini-bosses

Getting to the Raid

  • Alliance Access: Teleport to Stormwind, then use the Caverns of Time portal in the portal room to reach the main anniversary event area.

  • Horde Access: Use the Caverns of Time portal located downstairs in Orgrimmar's portal room to reach the event area.

  • Raid Entry: Moira Thaurissan, near the Mole Machine in the event area, offers a portal directly to the raid.

Loot System: Timewarped Relic Coffer Keys

  • Timewarped Relic Coffer Keys: Dropped by bosses, used for purchasing gear.

  • Key Limitations: 120 keys per difficulty.

  • Vendors:

    • LFR Gear: Braggi Brazenbrass, Item Level 584

    • Normal Gear: Kraegan Emberforge, Item Level 597

    • Heroic Gear: Hilda Hellforge, Item Level 610

Weekly Quest

  • Moira Thaurissan offers a weekly quest to clear the raid, rewarding a Bronze Celebration Cache of Treasures. The cache contains Valorstones and crests for The War Within Gear Upgrade System. The first two caches each week provide a piece of Champion gear and a Restored Coffer Key, while subsequent caches offer Veteran loot.

Boss Strategies

Lord Roccor (Normal/Heroic)

  • Lord Roccor can be a hectic encounter, but understanding its mechanics makes it manageable:

    • Eruption: The first major ability, Eruption, summons swirlies around the room. Avoid these as they turn into magma pools, each spawning three living magmas. The strategy is to step on these living magmas before they reach the orb in the pool. Failure to do so results in summoning larger elementals, which are harder to defeat.

    • Living Magmas: If living magmas reach the orb, they transform into obsidian elementals. If all three reach the orb, a Son of Roccor spawns. Sons of Roccor have the Slag Armor ability, which needs interrupting as it deals high volcanic damage and increases damage taken.

    • Roiling Magma: This ability targets the active tank, placing a magma pool beneath them. Tanks should move out quickly, and the raid should be prepared to handle any Sons of Roccor that spawn.

    • Volcanic Upheaval: A healer-intensive phase where Lord Roccor deals raid-wide damage over several seconds. Use defensive cooldowns during this time and aim to eliminate adds before this phase begins.

Bael'Gar (Normal/Heroic)

  • Tank Positioning: Tanks should stack and face Bael'Gar away from the group.

  • Rockfall: Avoid impact areas to minimize AoE damage.

  • Molten Furnace: Hide behind a boulder to avoid lethal damage.

  • AOE Shatter: Destroy remaining boulders to lessen damage from the shatter.

Lord Incendius (Normal/Heroic)

  • Bridge Flames: Avoid standing in flames that appear on the bridge.

  • Consumptive Flames: Healers manage DoTs on players.

  • Summon Flame Geyser: Manage adds by interrupting and crowd-controlling them.

Golem Lord Argelmach (Normal/Heroic)

You will first fight Golem Lord Argelmach that does shainlightning and as low health.
Once he is dead, 4 stone bosses will activate and they share health:
- Magmathron
- Arcanotron
- Electron
- Toxitron


Do not let them close to each other, thew will get boosted.
Magathron tanked on one side, face it away from raid. It casts Flamethrower frontal.
Arcatron tanked on one side.

The other two are stationary and not tanked.

Stay semi spread becuase of Chainlighning.
Beware of green swirls that become pools on the groud.
Run to eachtoher when linked with others.
When you get Poison mist debuff, you must run to Magmatron to get hit by flamethrower to remove it.
Stay away from raid when big circle on you (Livewire). Tank, use the Magmathron frontal flame to remove the pools.
Soak the arcane pools (Arcane Overcharge)
Soak the small orbs, they buff your dmg and stacks to 5 (power generator).
Magma does Incineration AOE raid blast, use defensives and healers beware.

The Seven (Normal/Heroic)

  • Boss Empowerment: Only empowered bosses take damage and can be interrupted.

  • Key Mechanics:

    • Doomrel: Interrupt Shadow Bolt Volley and kill summoned Felguards, dispel banished players.

    • Doperel: Prepare for Smoke Bomb.

    • Haterel: Interrupt Magma Bolts and kill Fire Elementals quickly.

    • Seethrel: Avoid Blizzard puddles and spread out during Bitter Cold.

    • Velerel: Break shields and avoid Terfy's fear circle.

  • Angerrel and Gloomrel: Always empowered, requiring tank swaps to manage debuffs and avoid high damage.

General Angerforge (Normal/Heroic)

FIRST PART

  • Pull the adds in the hall way and run over to the right side.  Dodge the fire patterns to get there and also dodge the fire patterns on the right side when fighting the mobs.

  • 1 tank on Officer away from raid and the other mobs.
    1 tank Shadowforge Flame Keeper and the rest of the adds.  All dps on these mobs.

  • Loot the flame torch.

SECOND PART

  • Walls have now opened up.
    Pull next set of mobs to the same room by LoS so they are clustered and kill the shooters.

  • Use the torch to remove the shield from the Harbinger of flames and kill it.

THIRD PART

Mole machines spawns with rogue adds on the way to next Harbinger of flames, kill them.

FOURTH PART

  • Move past the Harbinger of Flames and go and kill the last set of add groups until you come back to the first group again that have respawns. Similar to first part.

  • Loot the torches from flame NPCs.

  • Use the torch to remove the shield from the l Harbinger of Flames and kill it.

FIFTH PART

Enter the center and fight the boss together with adds.

One tank on adds one tank on boss.

Don´t let boss near adds, they get buffed.

More adds will spawn in waves. Don´t let them sap you if you are targeted. Kill and CC the adds.

Dodge swirls that becomes bombs. Have players that soaks the bombs before they detonate. This comes in waves.

Ambassador Flamelash (Normal/Heroic)

Tank boss facing away from raid, does a frontal.

Run away from big circles on the ground when boss summon Firestarters mobs. THey fixate players so run to the side when fixated.

Kill Flamewalker mob that spawns at the entrance. Run away when it does big fire circle aoe, Superheat.

Player with big red circle, all players soak in it.

Portals will spawn (firelands portal) with mobs . LOS and cc them and focus nuke two anchors near each portal to remove the portals. Move boss to each portal for cleave dmg when you can. 

Final Boss: Emperor Dagran Thaurissan

  • Blood Lust and Focus kill Moira first asap.

  • Stay spread!

  • When a player has the necrosis debuff (circle under you) another player must take it off bu standing close. This will remove 99% hp when debuff is removed so healers beware. This will happen until Moira is dead.

  • Line Arrow on head, move away to the side and dont players dont stand between boss and arrowed player.

  • Dispel players.

  • Dodge swirls.

  • Stand close to boss and dodge the shadow pizzaslice patterns that appears. Find safe locations.

When adds spawns

  • Must die fast before they cast Moment of Twilight.

  • They will spawn on the upper platforms. Divide the team and kill the two on each side.

Boss Empowered when Moira Dies

  • The line arrow on player will also shoot out fire balls from the targeted player. Run far back. Beware and dodge the balls.

At 70% boss health

  • Same mechanics with boss but  Ragnaros will also spawn. (The line arrow on player will also shoot out fire balls from the targeted player. Run far back. Beware and dodge the balls. )

  • Big red circle = run to the side of the platform and everyone helps soak. This leaves a lava pool on the ground.

  • Run away when pulsating fire circle

  • Dodge swirls

  • Raid dmg during entire fight.
