Upcoming Fix for the Immortal Dragonflight Leveling Bug

Game Director Ion Hazzikostas revealed that the Prismatic Blessing intended for characters leveling through Dragonflight content has a bug that unintentionally grants players immortality. A fix is currently in the works and is expected to roll out in the coming days.

Hazzikostas explained that these buffs were designed primarily for new players embarking on their first journey through the game. However, the Prismatic Blessing and its associated buffs are available to all characters below level 70, significantly simplifying the leveling process. This is further compounded by the fact that the hour-long cooldown on Ruby Blessing is not being applied, allowing players to benefit from its effects continuously.

While many players have criticized the current leveling and open-world experience as being too easy, these buffs are meant to help smooth the learning curve for newcomers. The various blessings—including Emerald Blessing, Obsidian Blessing, Blessing of the Bronze Dragonflight, Azure Blessing, and Ruby Blessing—provide a range of powerful advantages. However, this leads to a noticeable drawback: players who reach level 70 lose all these benefits at once, which dramatically impacts their speed, power, and survivability in the new expansion.

This sudden drop in capabilities can make the subsequent leveling experience feel significantly harder, altering gameplay dynamics. Players may find themselves moving slower, casting less frequently, and struggling to survive, which could be discouraging for those unprepared for the shift. As Blizzard prepares to address this issue, the community watches closely to see how the changes will affect the leveling experience moving forward.
