Nerub-ar Palace Race to World First: Day 1 Recap - Four Bosses Defeated, Heroic Splits, and Raid Compositions

Today, I’ll recap all the action from the first day of the Race to World First (starting with the NA reset, as the EU guilds have yet to make significant progress!).

Liquid managed to take down the first four bosses of the raid, each in a single attempt. In contrast, other guilds faced some challenges, but it’s expected that Method and Echo will also clear these encounters without too much trouble.

The race has seen the emergence of some unexpected specializations, alongside those that were anticipated. Notable surprises include the Devastation Evoker and Destruction Warlock, while the more expected choices featured Fury Warrior and Arcane Mage—at least prior to the bug with Burden of Power that occurred earlier in the day.

Splits have played a significant role on the first day of Mythic Week. However, unlike during Heroic week, these splits have been more strategically focused on specific bosses and gear. It’s anticipated that Liquid will finish theirs early on Day 2, and Method and Echo may complete theirs during the extended Day 1 for EU.

It will be fascinating to see how many more bosses, if any, have been taken down by tomorrow—whether it’s 0, 1, or 2!
